Created by the owners of Cafe Brasil from Santa Cruz, Amazon Juices grows from decades of experience in delicious breakfast, brunch and lunch with a Brazilian touch. Specially with the juices, you will be able to experience or imagine what is like to eat at the beach in Rio de Janeiro or Bahia!

About Us

Amazon Juices in Capitola was created by Joao Frota fromCafe Brasil in Santa Cruz.

After coming from Brazil 38 years ago, visiting Hawaii andother places, Joao Luis Frota and his wife Claudia decided tostay in Santa Cruz, California. The Pacific Ocean, the beautifuland charming city, redwoods, beaches, and the people fromSanta Cruz made it a great place to start a family.

After 34 years in the restaurant business, starting with abreakfast place, he fully set Cafe Brazil as a typical SantaCruz breakfast option, and expanded into Amazon Juices inCapitola. Amazon Juices in Capitola was a natural extension of CafeBrazil into a more casual offering of nutritious juices andmeals in a most convenient location.

The focus always have been to offer nutritious, healthy andfresh meals with a Brazilian touch.
